Description
This is one of the nicest cosmetic upgrades you can do on your R 1200 GS. This indicator set (four lights) is a straight swap for your standard indicators and it gives your bike a facelift.
The lights have dark smoked lenses (which look awesome) and bright orange LED's which are very bright and visible.
Although they look very similar to the 1250 indicators, they do not stay on all the time. They work the same as your standard ones – they just look way more modern.
The lights are plug & play and fit into the standard fittings on an LC (2014+). The rear lights are the same as the front ones. On Adventure models, the rear lights have longer mounts. When you fit these lights, the lights will fit further in under your sear but are just as visible still. You can see the photos of the back of Brad (our founder's) Adventure.
Fitting them is an adventure – perfect an owner of an adventure bike! 🙂 To fit the front ones, you need to strip most of the front-end panels. It should take between one to two hours, so take your time and ask a friend for some help. This video shows you how to strip the front end. Fitting the rear lights is a cinch in comparison and can be done in under ten minutes.
We have tested these on an LC 1200 GS but they will fit many different models because many of them use the same fittings. You may need to cut off the connectors for some models if they use a different connector. Included are four resistors that can be used in case your bike flashes the indicators quickly when you change from halogen bulbs to LED.
